At the FETT we aim to provide an excellent service to our members and to continue to raise the standards and success of our society and membership.

Counselling and hypnotherapy are both human vocations that offer the therapist the opportunity to help others and gain a comfortable income. At the FETT we feel that counselling and hypnotherapy are both art and science and that as well as being encouraged to utilize proven and effective techniques counsellors and hypnotherapists should be respected for their individual human qualities, approach to therapy and their intuitive skills. In particular that they should be encouraged to maintain broad horizons and to adopt useful approaches to therapy from different schools of thought so long as they remain within the therapists field of competence. We believe that effective therapists are united in recognizing that there is much of great value in a wide variety of therapeutic approaches.

At the FETT we believe that human qualities play a key role in effective counselling and hypnotherapy and the therapist's own self-awareness and personal well being have a direct relationship to therapeutic outcomes. Our society was formed by ethical eclectic counsellors and hypnotherapists for ethical eclectic counsellors and hypnotherapists. If you are a suitably qualified and experienced therapist please feel free to apply to join us.
