Ian Clancy BA; BSc (Hons) Psychol; Dip.Adv.THP; Dip.Coach; Cert. He also uses a broad range of further techniques including NLP, Life and Performance Coaching (Coaching Unlimited). He started work in the therapy sector in 1974 when he became involved with the Samaritans and other 'care' organisations. Ian originally trained in the Psychoanalytical school, but later studied CAT (Cognitive Analytical Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy). Ian is an NHS and BUPA provider, a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP); Central Register of Advanced Hypnotherapists (CRAH), a registered member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (SQHP) (GHR); UKRH-P (UK register of Hypno-Psychotherapists), the NHPC (National Hyno Psychotherapy Council), and National Hypno Psychotherapy Council. He mainly works in the private sector, and is Consulting Psychologist to his private practice in South Oxfordshire (Orchard Counselling Practice) and to Oxford City Council's Community and Neighbourhood Action Team. Ian is a training provider offering training and seminars in Self Hypnosis, Anger Management, Stress Management, Depression and Low Mood, Assertivity, Anxiety and worry, Fear and Phobias, and relaxation skills. He is also a registered Supervisor providing supervision facilities to Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Hypnotherapists and cross-cultural therapies. His specialist field is Anger Management.

As well as his experience in the counselling field Ian has a broad band of commercial experience in the IT sector and International Sales & Marketing. As a Business Consultant (OH Consulting) he provides service to US and European organisations on cross cultural sales and marketing of US products in Europe. At a business level, he offers training and coaching courses to corporate and individuals in business and personal skills, and career management.
