Andrew Richardson MA, Msc, HG.Dip.P. MHGI, GQHP, EFT qualified, Member of the Human Givens Institute, GHR Reg, M FETT is a Human Givens practitioner and hypnotherapist who practices in West Essex and at the London Human Givens Centre on Harley Street. He brings a wealth of experience to his practice (including a varied career as an economist). He has studied Eastern philosophies and healing and the Enneagram personality typing system.
Andrew is a founder director of the London Human Givens Centre. He runs workshops both for professionals (on aspects of the HG approach) and for private individuals (on wellbeing). He helps clients with a wide range of difficulties including: depressions, trauma (including loss and abuse), anxieties, phobias, obsessive behaviour, self confidence and self esteem, addiction, the need for meaning and redirection, relationship and work problems.
Andrew's normal session fee (for around an hour) is £60, but if more than six sessions are needed, then this will be reviewed. Concessions are available - and Andrew has never refused to see anyone on the basis of cost (he will also travel with prior arrangement). Andrew holds CRB clearance. Andrew tells potential clients that at the beginning of their first session there will be ample time for any questions.

Andrew likes to explain to clients what they can expect in therapy:
You may normally notice a difference quickly - not infrequently after just one session. And only rarely will you feel the need to see me for more than six sessions. This might seem hard to believe if you are stuck in strong and uncontrollable emotion or behaviour, yet this is my experience with most of the clients I see.
The environment is pleasant and comforting and at all times your wishes and values will be respected. There will be ample opportunity for you to say what you need to say. There will be no jargon or psychobabble. We will not though dwell unduly on the past.
Typically, specific and concrete goals are agreed - but only at a pace and in a way that you will find comfortable. You will perhaps learn new ways to relax and so control your emotions. Invariably there will a period devoted to rehearsal of necessary changes and to recall your resources and strengths.
I may give you an understanding of why you are as you are – that will make sense to you and be free of labelling and jargon. There may be stories and metaphors that will speak to your unconscious experiences and wisdom.
Finally, I will ask for your feedback at each session. How have you have felt over the previous week and what have been the changes you have noticed. Also, how well or otherwise do you believe the work we are doing is helping as you hoped and is fitting in with your expectations.
