Joy Gilson, MA (psych), PG Dip (HG Therapy), MHGI, M FETT is a qualified teacher with many years experience of working with children in inner London Schools. Her qualifications include Masters Degree in Psychology and Education from London university, Post Graduate Diploma in Speech and Language difficulties, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Brief Psychotherapy from the Human Givens perspective. She is a full member of the Human Givens Institute. Joy has experience and training in bereavement counselling. She also has legal training in Mental Health Law, experience in Employment and Special Needs Tribunal representation and has acted as an expert witness. Joy likes to help clients quickly and effectively to resolve issues of stress, depression anxiety, ptsd and all other stress related illnesses. She has addtional training in bereavement counselling and skills that were gained at the Isobel Hospice in Welwyn Garden City.

As a HG therapists Joy works with the latest scientific knowledge of how the brain works, takes account of research studies showing which approaches are effective and why, uses relaxation and guided imagery to help a client rehearse success and help clients quickly recover emotional health and clear thinking.Joy's fees are in the region of £60 a session (which last between 50 and 90 minutes), though fees can be lower in cases of hardship. All sessions are evaluated by the client to ensure that they are receiving what they want from therapy. Joy monitors her clients' progress with them to ensure they begin to feel better from the first session and continue to feel better in any subsequent sessions.
